Personal Affiiations:

Audrey J. Porzio is an active member of the:
Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association;
Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association;
Connecticut Bar Association

Attorney Porzio graduated from University of Bridgeport School of Law (now Quinnipiac University) in 1991 as an honor student, earning numerous awards for superior classroom performance. That same year she was admitted to both the Connecticut Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. Attorney Porzio joined the Moynahan Law Firm in 1991 where she practiced for ten years with a focus on criminal law. In 1995, in addition to maintaining her legal practice, Attorney Porzio began teaching legal research and writing classes at Morse School of Business.

In 2001 she opened the Law Offices of Audrey J. Porzio, LLC. Her practice areas include extensive experience in the areas of criminal defense law, personal injury law, worker’s compensation law, family law and real estate transactions.

She offers expertise in all aspects of criminal defense: felony charges, misdemeanor charges, operating under the influence, motor vehicle violations, infractions, and juvenile court charges. The firm serves all of the Judicial and Geographical area courts throughout the state of Connecticut.

Her personal injury law experience covers an enormous range of types of cases where an individual has been physically or emotionally injured. Personal injury law is generally concerned with who is liable, or responsible, for causing an injury, and how much they are going to be required to pay for any damages that they (an individual, a company, or an agency) caused. There are also intentional torts, where the plaintiff (you) is suing the defendant, who purposefully, volitionally, and intentionally caused an injury.

Personal injury law includes motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-falls, premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, intentional torts, and strict liability cases such as dog bites.

Attorney Porzio has years of experience recovering benefits for injured workers through both workers’ compensation and third party claims. Any injury sustained by an employee performing duties related to their job is considered work-related. These can include a sudden accident or repetitive motion trauma; for instance, a typist developing carpal tunnel syndrome, or any illness stemming from the nature of an individual’s work.
